Merseyside Police together with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services and local councils are working together to promote firework safety and reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour over the autumn festive period.
Think about how your actions affect others. Trick you play on people can be very frightening and have serious consequences.
Some people feel that they have been targeted. It can be especially frightening for the elderly and very young. Think how your elderly relatives would feel.
The Police may arrest those involved in anti-social behaviour or criminal damage. Remember you could get a fine for £40 or a criminal record.
Fireworks are dangerous and if you are under 18 yrs of age and found in possession of a firework including bangers you can be arrested and fined for £40. You can also be arrested if you Throw or light a firework in the street, make a bonfire in the street or cause injury or endanger others.
